Provence Marinaside

In the trendy district of Yaletown where Davie street meets the waters of False Creek, Provence Marinaside is a great place to catch up with friends on the patio while sipping on a Mimosa, it's also ideal if you want to impress a client with a local hot spot. Provence definitely has its signature dishes. For those with a sweeth tooth, start off with something sweet like the fruit crepes drizzled with maple syrup and topped with whip cream. For all you egg lovers even, although we all love our classic scrambled or sunny side up why not take a leap and try the crab and shrimp eggs benedict or maybe even eggs baked forentine. Of course during brunch there's also other savoury items that you may fancy such as the smoked salmon bagel or maybe the beef tenderloin if you are really hungry. Prices range from $11-$24 so  there is something for everyone. Remember reservations are recommended at this hot spot so remember to call in advance (604) 681.4144

Cafe Medina

Initially when Medina’s opened they only specialized in waffles but now they have expanded their menu to a wide selection of scrumptious dishes. The atmosphere inside Medina’s is fabulous with their open brick walls and old modern furnishings. The dishes you must to try when you are here have to be of course the waffles with a great selection of toppings. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous,  then try something you have never had before like the Les Boulettes which is 2 poached eggs with spicy Moroccon meatballs served with hummus cucumber salad and green foccacia. Another great dish is one of my favourites, Oeufs Cocottes, which is a baked egg, smoked salmon, artichoke, cream cheese, and tomato pepperdew salad. You might be thinking wow this is different well that what’s special about Cafe Medina!  If you want to stop at this place remember to make reservations long in advance by calling 604.879.3114. Prices ranges from $3.15 for waffles to $16 for main dishes so hurry up don’t wait any longer to go to Medina’s.

Sophie's Cosmic Cafe

For years and years Sophie’s has been the hub for brunch in the heart of Kitsilano and we have all grown up loving it. Most of us have once upon dined here or driven by and noticed the long line up. The intrigue is always too much, so once we've all stopped at one stage to get in line and see what the buzz is about! Sophie’s is a great place to have a casual fun time with friends and family. It’s the place to go to have comfort brunch and it feels just like home. Every time I visit I have to have the classic Eggs Benedict which you can never get tired off. But you also have to try the Spanish Omelette with home style hash browns, remember you have  to top it off with their famous hot sauce!! For the ones who want a variety, make sure to try the Classic Kits Breakfast. With its eccentric kitch decor and friendly warm staff Sophie’s is and always will be one of the locals choices to visit and if it's your first time and your driving from an other neighbourhood or out of town,  go early to avoid line-ups. Sadly they do not take reservations but the wait is very much worth it and to top it of prices range from only $8-$12
